Physical Therapy Programs

Body One therapists have relationships with physicians across a variety of different practice groups and specialties in Indianapolis who refer patients to our clinics. In Indiana, physical therapy patients must have a referral/prescription from a physician. We work with patients across their lifespan as they deal with a diverse range of musculoskeletal conditions (neck/back pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, knee pain and foot and ankle conditions).

Please contact Body One Physical Therapy if you have any questions regarding
physical therapy services and aftercare programs offered by our therapists.

Physical therapy services include:

  • Patient education and resources
  • Therapeutic exercise instruction
  • Manual therapy
  • Therapeutic modalities
  • Bracing and taping

Body One also offers patients several aftercare program options when therapy is complete.

After receiving a prescription from your physician, a physical therapist will evaluate your condition and work with you to identify goals and objectives for your rehabilitation. During an initial evaluation, therapists gather medical history, perform a physical examination, and find out how your pain or challenge is affecting your life to determine rehabilitation goals and plan of care. The individual plan of care will vary based on the patient’s needs, body area affected (shoulder, knee, hip, back) and current functional limitations.

Patients who work with Body One therapists have access to a full-range of therapy interventions and services. Whether they’re suffering from shoulder problems, hip discomfort, knee pain or back aches, we offer:

  • Patient education and resource materials
  • Therapeutic exercise instruction
  • Endurance and weight training exercises
  • Mobility and balance training activities
  • Conditioning for return to sport, recreational activity or work
  • Manual therapy treatments (hands-on techniques to decrease pain and restore mobility to soft tissues and joints)

Manual therapy, exercise and patient education, along with modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, iontophoresis and ice and heat, may be used in some cases to help with spasms, pain or inflammation.  The therapists at Body One may also utilize specific taping or bracing to help with decreasing pain and improving support and protection to soft tissue and joints in a variety of conditions.
