Dr. Ryan Cotton is a 1998 graduate of the University of Evansville with a masters degree in physical therapy. During his masters studies, Ryan spent a semester in the Netherlands studying manual physical therapy. He received his doctor of health sciences degree from the University
of Indianapolis in 2006. Ryan’s doctoral research was on shoulder outcomes for post-operative and non-operative shoulder pathology and the development of a predictive model for patients with non-operative shoulder pathology.
Dr. Cotton has more than a decade of experience treating patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction. He is recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists as a certified specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy.
Ryan teaches continuing education seminars on evaluation and treatment of the knee and shoulder, and has been instrumental in the development of an orthopaedic clinical residency for the Krannert School of Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis.
Dr. Cotton is the clinic manager and cares for patients with shoulder, neck, back and hip pain at the North Meridian location. He is active in mentoring doctoral physical therapy students and continues to work to develop a predictive model for identifying the optimal level of care for patients with shoulder pain.
